Go West Taxidermy was founded by wildlife artist, Ashley Gillespe in 2018 after many years of doing taxidermy as a side hobby. She graduated from Colorado School of Taxidermy Training in 2008. Her workspace is conveniently located in the heart of elk country in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Having grown up in Southwest Missouri, hunting has been a huge part of her family lifestyle, and she is now passing down the traditions to a family of her own. Ashely is a proud representative of local organizations, Keep Routt Wild and Rocky Mountain Sportswomen, and is very active in the field herself. Go West Taxidermy is also conveniently located next to local meat processers, Elk River Custom Meats, so you can make a one stop shop!
